My Inner Critic

My inner critic invites you to tag along on a journey through the deepest, darkest realms of bad fiction, as epitomized in the fanfictional beginnings of the now bestselling series 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. In other words, I am doing a through and critical reading of 'Master of the Universe' by Snowqueens Icedragon. Be warned: Kinky fuckery lies ahead (admittedly most of it is being censored, what with genitalia being vaguely alluded to as 'way down there', or simply just 'there'.) Nevertheless, twelve-year-olds, consider yourselves warned.

  • Did you?” The expectation in her voice…
“Rose… I don’t want to talk over the phone…” Edward glances up at me.
    “You did… I can tell.”
    How can she tell…?

Why, because she’s the all-seeing, all-knowing best friend, of course!

  • He gently pulls my pigtail… “I love these,” he whispers. “They won’t protect you…”
    Hmmm Bluebeard…

    Enough with the Bluebeard, already!

Also, how could Edward possibly have known that Bella devised the pigtails as a protective barrier against his schlong? There’s no way he could have seen through her flawed logic, given that it made no sense.

  • He holds his hand out to me and now I’m hesitant to take it. Rose had said he was dangerous, she was so right. How did she know?

    My question exactly.

  • Bella, there’s something about him.” Her tone is full of warning. “He’s gorgeous I agree, but I think he’s dangerous, especially to someone like you.

I agree with Rose that Bella should run for dear life, but I have problems seeing how Rose could possibly arrive at this conclusion from watching Edward pose for the cameras for fifteen minutes.
